    31/05/2011 anglais The apartment is well located and fairly quiet. Despite being advertised as “no smocking” , the whole apartment including the mezzanine bedroom (and therefore the bedding and wardrobe) reeked unpleasantly and persistently of stale cigarette smoke. We had to pay the rent cash as it was the only mean of payment accepted by the owner. Out of the blue and unilaterally, the owner imposed (after the rental agreement was signed by us) an exorbitant deposit (€ 1750) not justifiable in regards to the standard of the apartment. No mention of a deposit was made on the website and the rental agreement. The deposit was given back to us integrally at the end of the lease but the owner’s uncompromising attitude complicated unnecessarily our holidays.
